BrewDog are a relatively new brewery, but it’s not taken them long to build up quite a reputation.

They’re best known for their bottled beers, of course. Their beers are not often seen in cask.

But they will be seen at Leeds Beer, Cider and Perry Festival 2010! Look for Punk IPA and Trashy Blonde to be at Pudsey in March!

Beer from Otley

This year we’ll be having a good bit of beer from Otley.

The first three come from the Otley Brewery. Don’t panic if you missed this one, it’s in Pontypridd, South Wales, not in Otley, West Yorkshire. This is the brewery that produces the legendary O8, the Champion Beer of Leeds a few years back. Expect some O8 along with others from down there.

The other comes from Rodham’s Brewery, which really is in our Otley. Old Albion is a proper dark Yorkshire beer.

In case you’re wondering, Otley Brewery is run by a chap called Mr Otley.

Beer by the Quantocks

Leeds Beer Festival has rarely, if ever, seen a beer beginning with Q.

We are pleased to announce that we have managed to put an end to this by persuading Quantock Brewery from Somerset to supply us this year. As far as we know this is the first time their beer has made it to Leeds, so be early if you want to try it!

Nottingham Brewery

Some breweries are new at the Festival each year. Some, espeically are locals, are regulars.

But there are some from a bit further away that are regular features. One such is Nottingham Brewery. You don’t see their beers up here, which is a shame because they’re rather good. They’re good chaps at the brewery, too.

So, this is your annual chance to get some Nottingham in Leeds. Mild and the astonishingly good EPA will be on the bar. Get those Festival dates in the diary now.
